Seated with Christ – Where?
A little while ago I was thinking about this verse in the Bible that says
God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 2:6
We have all seen pictures like this from cartoons we watched on television when we were children.
Is that what it means to be seated in heavenly places? We’re sitting on a cloud and we must have some way to stay there so we need wings, right?
I had never really thought about what it meant to be “seated with Christ” so I asked the Lord, “Where exactly am I seated in heavenly places?”
A lot of people imagine heaven as a garden so I thought of something like this picture – maybe I am sitting on a garden bench with Jesus just enjoying his company in heavenly places. That sounded very pleasant.
But the Lord surprised me. He showed me a vision of the throne room of God. I saw the Father sitting on His throne and I saw Jesus sitting at His right hand – which looks like Jesus is on the left as you face them.
Then the vision changed perspective and now I was standing between the two thrones and slightly behind them. Jesus beckoned to me to come closer. That’s when I saw that His throne was not a chair but a bench seat. He scooted over and invited me to sit with Him on His throne. I walked over and sat down. It was hard like a cement bench. I was now seated between Jesus and the Father, looking out and slightly down on the earth and everything going on around the throne.
What a view! Wow! I just sat there, taking it all in. For several days I pondered that vision and would go back to that place. Just sitting there with Jesus in heavenly places. Wow. Selah.
Did you know THAT is where we are seated in heavenly places? Imagine yourself there. Ask the Lord to show you where you are in that picture. Use your 5 senses in the spirit and notice what you see, hear and feel. It can give you confidence and security, sitting there with them.

Discernment of the Supernatural Realm 
That is a beautiful encounter with God!
Although I have not had a vision in this area to share, the Lord has been dealing with me heavily with my authority and position in Him.
I truly believe that I am chosen to rule and reign with Him. However, because of childhood trauma, and faulty religious teachings etc, I have struggled severely in my faith with maintaining it. My dilemma is trying to let go of doing so through ‘works’ and not solely by grace. We cannot do ANYTHING without Him! Although I would love to be PERFECT for Him, this is IMPOSSIBLE! There is NO GOOD thing that’s dwells in this flesh!!! NOTHING!…I REPEATEDLY have to remind myself of this.
Though the journey has been challenging, I am growing in His grace and my eyes are being enlightened to His love for me. He loves us and chooses to use us, IN SPITE OF US! He is not looking for perfection.
He’s looking for a pure and yielded heart to the work of Holy Spirit in us…and He is
TOTALLY COMMITTED to the process and us, even when we are not! He’s so faithful!…even when we are not! Lol
He is PERFECT in ALL of His ways. He knew I would be a mess when He chose me!
Thank you for this reminder and encouragement to keep me focused! He’s been speaking everywhere I turn to keep my eyes off of ‘me’ and rest IN HIM.

Thank you for sharing what the Lord is showing you. I completely agree. The Lord reminded me last night that years ago He showed me the “big picture”. He planned out certain things and He needed someone like me to say and do things in order to fulfill His plan. So He created me to do those things – just by being ME. I didn’t have to try and figure out the plan – I just had to be me, doing and saying the kinds of things I normally do. Basically His plan was bigger and so masterfully designed that I was not powerful enough to “mess it up”. LOL Takes all the pressure off of me. I don’t have to “find God’s plan for me”. I AM God’s plan. Thank you for being on this journey with me. God bless you too. 😊❤️
